Pastor Gene Burdette, ThD comes to us from Orlando, FL where he pastored for nearly eight years. He is married for almost twenty years to his wife Karen and have six children. Pastor Burdette is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College. He also possesses a Masters in Missiology, and a Doctorate of Theology.
Pastor Burdette was a child of the foster care system and was adopted by Ralph and Helen Burdette at the age of five. It was during this time he learned to play the piano and played his first wedding at the age of six. He went on to continue learning the piano and had opportunities to perform under the instruction of Dr. Noel Lester, Dean of Music, Hood College. This talent has been used with many opportunities to encourage, engage, and help others see Jesus through God honoring piano arrangements and hymns.
Pastor Burdette likewise has a heart for missions. It is his mission to see the Great Commission carried out according to the guideline given by Christ and illustrated through the missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul. When he first considered the ministry, mission work was on his heart. After much prayer and examining the mission field firsthand, it was determined that preparing others to be missionaries, teachers, and evangelists was his calling.
