Pastor Billy Shepard was born again and baptized at age eleven. He moved from Arkansas to the Washington, DC area in November 1954. He answered God’s call to ministry in August, 1957 and was ordained February 17, 1960. He has led in the establishment two churches: Arlington Missionary Baptist Church, Arlington, VA in 1960 (now known as First BC of Kingstowne) where he served as pastor for six and a half years, and Bethel Baptist Church, Woodbridge, VA in 1967 (now known as Marsh Road Baptist Church) where he continues to serve as Senior Pastor.
Pastor Shepard’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree of Theology from Patriot University; a Master’s degree of Theology from Baptist International Schools and another Masters from Mid-Atlantic Baptist Schools. He has been awarded two Honorary Doctor’s Degree of Sacred Theology; one from Baptist International Schools and the other from Mid-Atlantic Baptist Schools.</
